Little Green Sock

Cliff Hughes, Chorlton Mark Lodge 394 and Chorlton Royal Ark Mariner Lodge 394, was delighted to visit the Little Green Sock Charity to meet the Co-Founder Catherine D’Albertson to see how a donation from the West Lancashire Mark Charity Fund had helped to fund the Christmas project for 2024.

The donation of £1000 increased in value to £1500 via some match funding available from ‘The Big Give’ fund was to provide a selection of presents for the ‘Christmas Shop’ where parents and caregivers were able to choose personalised items they knew the children would love to open on Christmas morning, up to a value of £50.

Presents due to be packed by Volunteers
In the area a staggering 45000 children are affected by poverty and, last Christmas, this meant many went without presents. It was heartwarming indeed to have the support of the West Lancashire Mark Charity Fund for funding which has helped the Little Green Sock Charity to distribute over £17000 worth of items to over 250 children in December 2024.
